London Calling

Thanks to my incessant shopping I've racked up quite a credit card bill. And as a college student who is curently jobless, this is not such a good thing. I have narrowed it down to two options: (a) find a new job or (b) stop spending. Both options are equally difficult. I'm literally heartbroken that I had to leave behind THE most perfect Anna Corinna City Tote dupe while out shopping today. What's more, these shoes are now on sale. Why is my life so unfair at thetimes when I need it not to be?

On a side note, I'll need all the money I can muster up, as I'm seriouly considering studying abroad in London next spring, but that's all I'll divulge for now.

Studying in London would be awesome!

OH NO. I hope you can pay your bill soon. I don't want you to ruin your credit!

I'm with you, sister. I told my husband yesterday (in a very regretful, sad tone) that I am not going to buy ANY apparel (shoes, tops, purses, scarves, jewelry, etc) until Sept. 15th, which is my birthday. It's hard & I know it's going to take a lot of work but it's better than being broke, I think.

Instead of getting the dupe. . .set aside $20 a month and buy an city tote on eBay (that's where I got mine, they're authentic and 2/3s the full price). I love that bag so much and I find myself rarely desiring any other bag. It matches everything and it makes me pretty happy.

Hey there! I just stumbled across your blog randomly.

You should DEFINITELY go to London. I had an awesome time there, and I plan to go back as soon as possible (possibly for good). I will warn you though -- I went broke TWICE while there! Save as much money as you can, since the dollar is sooooooooo weak compared to the pound. And if you stay, just cook your own meals -- you'll save tons of money by not eating out.

And besides, you can use some of that saved money to go shopping! :-P
